Well tonight I wanted to be able to have my shows summed up for me so I wouldn’t forget when to watch them. So I started looking around a bit. The site http://tvrss.net/ is great for what I was looking for.

I started by going to the search page, and since I know EZTV is a big tv show Distro group, I limited it to them, so that I wouldn’t get more than two showings of a tv show each. (Sometimes they release some from different release groups, so if I had them from all available distro groups for all release groups, the feed would be a mess.)

From there you want to enter the show, we’ll use the example House. Once you hit enter, you will notice that Desperate Housewives shows up as well, you will want to click the “exact” button, so that only House shows up. (You could use this for all shows, but I’m using House to show you might come into this problem.)

So from there, you want to click the “Search Based RSS Feed” to get the feed link. Mine starts out as:

http://tvrss.net/search/index.php?distribution_group=eztv&show_name=House&show_name_exact=true&filename=&date=&quality=&release_group=&mode=rss

But since I don’t want a huge link, I took out all of the useless parts and shortened my link to:

http://tvrss.net/search/index.php?distribution_group=eztv&show_name=House&show_name_exact=true&mode=rss

So there I have my link. Now if you want to have all of your TV shows into a single rss feed, instead of multiple ones, this next part will help you a lot; if not then I’m happy to help someone who didn’t know how to get RSS Feeds of their shows releases

So multiple links to one RSS Feed, this is where FeedJumbler comes into play. I suggest creating a login so that you can save all of your links (Takes like 15 seconds, no email required.) From there you simply put one link on each line. And it will end up coming out as something like this:

http://tvrss.net/search/index.php?distribution_group=eztv&show_name=American%20Dad&mode=rss
http://tvrss.net/search/index.php?distribution_group=eztv&show_name=Smallville&mode=rss
http://tvrss.net/search/index.php?distribution_group=eztv&show_name=supernatural&mode=rss

Once you’re all done there, click OK, and then click on the RSS Feed button which will bring you to something like a normal RSS Feed, but will have all of those feeds in one go. Put the link in your favorite RSS Reader such as Google Reader (Web) or RSSReader (SysTray).

Well Manacit helped me out a ton today with getting the blog as the layout of my front page. Why not just use the blog itself as my front page? Because using a bit of php to get the pages here was MUCH easier than spending a couple hours editing CSS and whatnot to have the blog look like my website.

I spent the day at my parents, it was alright. Attempted to network a Vista and an XP system together, with no luck. I then spent the rest of the time doing my laundry and looking through old files. Got home around 6:45, went to take a shower and found out that my water isn’t working. And still isn’t working. I want to take a hot shower and I can’t. Pisses me off.

I took my brothers DS when I left. Been playing The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass all night. Fun game. Only got stuck on a couple parts and had to turn to IGN to work it. I might hit GameStop or somewhere to see if they have Animal Crossing for like 2-3 bucks. That game owns.

Updating stats.mattberg.net is still on my todo. I’ll poke around on it tomorrow to make it so it’s easy to go between there and here

Also, if anyone knows any channels that they would want logged on Swift (A bit more personal and cooler looking logging than SwiftStat) just comment and lemme know who to talk to. I’ve got 27 more channels I could do

Touched up the main site a bit today. http://mattberg.net/. I’ll be doing http://stats.mattberg.net/ tomorrow, and my friend Manacit is going to help me streamline the blog posts into the front page, so I don’t have to do any annoying CSS changes and whatnot.

I’ve gotta wake up in 6 hours @_o Going over to my mothers in the morning to wash some laundry. Joy.

I started up GameBot again today, decided to play around with the code. What a chore that turned out to be lol. It reminded me of how much I’ve improved over the last year coding wise(Much props to spling for helping me a ton). I’ll probably jump between that and the site. Ran out of good ideas for RuneScript at the moment, need to take a bit of a break.

Well for the very few people that actually look at this page, I updated my blog layout a bit; customizing it to my liking. Bevveled a few things, colored stuff differently. Even added my twitter updates into the sidebar like i did for http://mattberg.net/

It’s now 4AM, and I’ve got my landlord coming by today…Still need to clean a bit. Yay! On a different note, I’ve been interested in making some small tunes for my friend micksam for his demo making, just something I figured might help. Even if he doesn’t like them, I still get to play around with Fruity Loops
